Varinder Khanna, Regional Head (MEWANA) Mr. Varinder Khanna, General Manager, State Bank of India is currently posted as Regional Head (Middle East, West Asia & North Africa) at Dubai since September 2022. He has worked in various management positions in Corporate Banking in the Bank, having joined SBI in the year 1995. Prior to this current assignment, Mr. Khanna was working as General Manager, CCGRO, Bangalore where he was responsible for overall performance of the branches of the region, in corporate credit, compliance, revenues and profits. In his current assignment as Regional Head (MEWANA), Mr. Khanna is supervising various branches and offices situated in different jurisdictions across Middle East and South Africa. Mr. Khanna is entrusted with the responsibilities such as: - i) Ongoing engagement with the regulators in all the jurisdictions, ii) Monitoring compliance, introducing business best practices in the Region iii) Overall performance of the branches/offices in MEWANA Region of State Bank of India, in terms of its market share, revenues and profits
