Mr Vincent Govender is the current CEO for Oriental Rubber Industries in South Africa (ORSA). ORSA is a proudly South African conveyor manufacturer based in Boksburg with a customer base mainly in South Africa and exports to Rest of Africa, North America, Europe & Australia.
He previously worked at Jindal Steel & Power in India as Executive Vice President responsible for the Coal Gasification and Coal to Liquids Projects. Mr Govender has over 30 years of business management , projects & operations experience in a senior management positions. He has worked 21 years at Sasol Synfuels (Pty) Ltd, an international petrochemical company situated in South Africa, which is the largest Coal to Liquids facility in the world.
He has headed many operations in Utilities, Fisher Tropsch and Market and Process Integration Business Units within Sasol Synfuels. He has extensive experience in Air Separation specialising in the industrial gases sector. Sasol Synfuels is the leading African producer of a variety of industrial gas products and has the largest oxygen production facility in the world
His qualifications are Mechanical Engineering, Masters in Business Administration Degree and Leadership & Project Management Training Programs.

Oriental commenced supplies into the South African market in 1997 and by 2001, we were increasingly supplying to the heavy duty mining industries. Due to high demand for the Oriental product, a subsidiary company – Oriental Rubber Industries (SA) (Pty) Ltd –was established in 2007 and has been successful in building a strong brand image and product reputation as a quality supplier of conveyor belts.
Oriental Rubber presently manufactures its conveyor belts from its established manufacturing facility in Boksburg and is now 1 of the few local manufacturers of fabric reinforced conveyor belts, in South Africa.

Oriental Rubber is proud to state that the belts manufactured and supplied bear the SABS Certification and the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Mark.
Both our plants in India as well as our plant is South Africa( are duly certified and audited annually by the South African Bureau of Standards.
Our conveyor belts are approved against relevant standards – SANS 1173:2013 and SANS 1366:2013 for Steelcord Belts.
