I am also tasked with monitoring the implementation of the lines of credit (LoCs) signed between the Governments of Malawi and India in areas such as agriculture equipment, water facilities, sugar production and fuel reservoirs. In this regard, the Government of Malawi will continue to exploit opportunities in the area of LoCs by submitting to the Government of India bankable projects in specific fields of interest. At the same time, I follow up on the implementation of the Agreement on establishment of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), of which the Government of Malawi is an original member, aimed at mobilizing billion of dollars for renewable energy projects that would help to address the adverse effects of the climate change phenomenon.
